Attractions

Wilcox has a park with playground equipment, a shelter with picnic tables, public restrooms, and lots of grass and trees.  This is the location for community activities such as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Independence Day celebrations with barbecues and music.  It has also been the location for many family picnics and get-togethers.  The park is located in the western part of the community.

There is a swimming pool open to the public that is operated by the Wilcox-Hildreth School and located north of the school.  The pool offers Red Cross swimming lessons, water aerobics, and adult swim times, and is available for private rental.

The school also has a playground, tennis court, basketball court, and softball/baseball fields that are open to the public located in the eastern part of the community near the pool.

Wilcox has a public library that is currently open on Mondays from 9:00 - 11:30 am, Wednesdays from 3:00 - 5:00 pm and Saturdays from 9:00 - 11:30 am.  It is located on the west side of Main Street, south of the stoplight.

For the wildlife enthusiasts, the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission's Sacramento-Wilcox Wildlife Management Area is located 2 1/2 miles west of Wilcox along a paved road.  Camping, hunting, fishing, and more can be found at what is locally referred to as the "Game Farm".
